There come those moments in life when everyone questions life and their presence on Earth. Recently, I've been questioning all the possible questions that revolve around life, purpose, and love. Senior year is moving by quickly and its overwhelming to think that in a year, I will be starting my life in the real world. It's a scary thing to think about: I have all these questions circling around in my mind... Where will I go in life? Will my plans turn out to be a success? How will college change my perspective of life? And how will God continue to be prominent in my life?
The latter question has been gnawing at me lately because God is one of the reasons why I'm the person I am. He's helped me overcome so much and I can't even begin to think about what my life would be like without him there with me every step of the way. One thing that is really important to me is that I continue to grow in my faith at the college that I finally chose to go to. I know lots of people who stop growing in their faith after they start college because they don't have the time. College is a huge toll, and its a huge step towards me becoming who I am--which is a huge part of the purpose of my journey through life. Its also really scary to think about at times. I make mistakes, every day, all the time. And the thought of knowing that I will make a million more mistakes can be kind of overwhelming at times. But I'm only human and God lives within me, through me, and by me. There are certain times though when I question my faith--we all do it (no matter our faith or beliefs) and its not bad, its a normal part of human nature.
Tonight's song is God's Not Dead by Newsboys-->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghC3gqNQJPQ. My best friend introduced me to this song one night while he was driving me home, and from the first time I heard it I loved it. It's a great reminder that no matter where we are in life, whether we're lost, on the path, or veering towards the wrong path, God is always there and his love will see us through. So even when those obstacles, like college or a job, or family, or even those questions that circle around our head, God is still inside us, louder than ever, sharing his love throughout us. Maybe that's why we feel remorse... Haha.
Challenge for this week: spread God's love to someone. Do something small that will leave a big impact on someone's life. Ever heard of PAY IT FORWARD? Well this is a mini version of that. Let's see how far God's might lion love will go. :) Regret Nothing.

For Good
Hey guys! Sorry for the long disappearance... It's been really crazy trying to get back in the hang of the new school schedule and whatnot. This past week I got to have to greatest pleasure to spend three days with the most amazing 5th graders ever. I got to be a high school leader for their outdoor ed and it was so much fun! Spending three days in the outdoors without any access to technology really gives you something to think about. Outdoor Ed was in Larkspur, and the camp overlooked a gorgeous view of the hills and mountains in Colorado. It's these kind of moments and scenes that really make one stop and reflect on life and all its beauty. Besides the gorgeous scenery I also got to meet the coolest 5th graders and the coolest high schoolers. We all got along so well and it was really great how well we all put our best foot forward for the kids, regardless of how exhausted and unenthusiastic we were.
For those of you who have seen the musical Wicked, first off good for you! You've seen one of my most favorite musicals and secondly, you probably know the song For Good (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQJaZO2nfGg). This song happens to be one of my favorite songs partly because it relates to everyone in one way or another. It's true, we meet the people we do for a specific reason and they all teach us something that we can learn from. Because I went to help out at outdoor ed, I got to meet the most amazing people and create some great memories. I grew so much in these last three days, I got to experience the outdoors in ways that I never have and I got to help out 5th graders who really respected me. So, if you're reading this, I challenge you to take a moment and reflect on the people that you have met and think back to how you met them and the kind of impact they have made on your life. If they are still prominent in your life, then try to imagine what your life would be like without them. There are hundreds of people in my life that have totally changed my life around. Thank you to all of you who have impacted my life. Regret nothing.
Something new I'm going to try, there's this awesome project my art teacher told me about. It's called Project 365 (http://content.photojojo.com/tutorials/project-365-take-a-photo-a-day/), everyday I'm going to take one photo. You've all heard that a picture is worth a thousand words, I'm going to create a 365-thousand word blog. :)
